SDET San Diego, CA.
The SDET is responsible to design, develop and maintain new and existing automation frameworks, continued evaluation of test cases for inclusion in test regression, tests coverage and automation of newly implemented functionality, and development of tools to enable QA efficiencies. The SDET will also work closely with Software Developers, Project Management, and Customer Support to form and follow quality procedures, standards, and specifications ensuring they are met and deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Job Responsibilities:
Specific duties and responsibilities include creating, maintaining and executing automation test plans, writing test code against software platforms, estimating test efforts, analyzing and communicating test results, defect tracking and participating in day to day QA activities, and contribute to the companys performance and scalability testing efforts.
- Enhance and extend test automation frameworks.
- Identify quality tasks during team sprint cycle and think about testing and automation strategies and estimate test efforts and implement automation for new features.
- Analyze and communicate test results and defect tracking.
- Participate in performance and load test effort.
- Assist in the planning, creation, and control of the test environments and test data.
- Participate in the review of QA procedures and processes and provide recommendations for improvement to eliminate redundancies in testing and improve efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years experience in a Quality Engineering role
- 3+ years experience with Java or C#
- 2 years experience with SQL
- Experience with test automation frameworks, Selenium WebDriver preferred
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline
- Hands-on experience with writing automation test code and utilizing leading industry standard tools (Postman, IDEs, Terminal, Selenium, etc.) and frameworks that can simulate complex multi-system scenarios.
- Proficiency with automated testing types (Unit, Functional, Load, Security, Behavioral, Integration, Component, Contract, End-to-End).
- Understanding of web technologies, including web services, web application servers and RESTful APIs.
- Experience working in a SaaS environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with AWS a plus.
