Job Description
We are looking for software developers who wants to automate the operations world and have orchestrated and deployed large distributed systems and next-generation provisioning and orchestration tools. Embracing Emerging Technology: You will leverage various cloud and analytic frameworks to perform large-scale data analysis
Well-rounded: You will need to bring in-depth experience across multiple technologies including scripting, development/test/QA tools, analytic frameworks, container and orchestration tools, Linux operating systems, and networking and security and administration.
Everything-as-Code: Must be looking to deliver Infrastructure, security, operation as code to drive as close as possible to a NoOps model.
Motivated: You want to continually learn new things and work with new technologies.
Major Responsibilities
Provide DevOps leadership and operational support for product engineering with a focus on the creation and maintenance of automation/orchestration frameworks.
Establish and maintain continuous delivery pipelines for deployment of Pivotal Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, and similar products on
High level of analysis/troubleshooting of Cloud Environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Create and automate documentation pertaining to the Cloud foundations
Evaluate, deploy and document new technologies for potential deployment in cloud services
Driving ongoing improvements and efficiencies in operational practices, tools & processes
Install software, apply patches, monitor performance and troubleshoot alerts
Support both production and non-production servers in a complex environment
Occasional on-call support and/or off hours maintenance of servers and systems
Basic Qualifications
7 or more years of related experience.
Experience enabling cloud automation using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Ansible (ideally multiple)
Experience with a platform-as-a-service products such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, or opensource Cloud Foundry
Create templates for system configuration
Write scripts in Python, Go to interact with and connect different systems and tools
Strong experience with Web Services, languages and formats including RESTful APIs, JSON, Python, Flask, bash, etc
Create scripts to provision bare metal via IPMI and Redfish
Work with tool such as Foreman, Ubuntu MAAS, Docker, Rancher, Mesos and others
Complete understanding of the technology required for cloud computing, IAAS, PAAS and SAAS modules
Experience in DevOps in an agile organization and ability to take lead role in the design and analysis for driving adoption of cloud based practices
Extensive experience with VMware Technologies (vSphere, ESX, vSAN, NSX, etc)
Expertise in troubleshooting complex hyper-converged environments
Experience with Jenkins, Bamboo, Concourse or other Continuous Integration tool
Ability to effectively communicate with various teams and levels of management
Container technology experience (e.g. Docker, rkt, Mesos, or Kubernetes)
Must be able to work independently in the absence of supervision
