What you will be doing?

Glance is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer.

As an ML engineer you will be responsible for contributing to the design, development, deployment, testing, maintenance and enhancement of ML software solutions. You will work closely with data scientists to collaborate and support the development of ML data pipelines, platforms and infrastructure. Day-to-day activities include :

- Architecting and implementing end-to-end solutions for accelerating experimentation and

model building,

- Creation of microservices and APIs for serving ML models and ML services,

- Designing and implementing potential products and proof-of-concepts,

- Working closely with engineering, product, and newsroom teams to define and deploy new ML / AI products,

- Exploring and onboarding new platforms, technologies and algorithms,

- Managing project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.

We are looking for candidates with an enthusiasm for tackling audacious challenges, the ability to take ownership of end-to-end solutions, and a passion for elegance in deep problem solving.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Five+ years' experience working in a ML Engineering role with proven track record of delivering high-impact ML solutions.

- Bachelors degree, Masters or PhD in computer science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other analytical fields

- Demonstrated ability to own end-to-end project delivery while maintaining transparent communication

- Hands-on experience and strong theoretical understanding of Recommender Systems.

- Experience working with Python, Golang, Spark or other open-source software with data

science libraries

- Strong experience in advanced math and statistics

- Excellence in technical documentation and project leadership, with proven ability to drive results independently with cross-functional teams

- Experience with being actively engaged in data science or other research-oriented position.

What role you will play in our team :

The Senior Software Developer actively collaborates with internal customers and software development teams to develop software solutions to ExxonMobils Global Projects business.

What you will do :

- Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams and management

- Participates in all aspects of application development including work planning, requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment and ongoing support.

- Understand, analyze business requirements

- Design and develop desktop and cloud-based components for complex applications

- Work with technical experts, analysts, programmers and other team members to develop, enhance and support proprietary modules, including delivering to desktop and cloud.

- Design and Prototyping application

- Support internal business clients on issue resolution in a global operations environment.

- Participate in agile ceremonies

- Implement requirements into software design documents / database design as well

- Perform validation and verification testing as part of software development

- Write Unit/Integration/Automation Testing for the business modules

- Review software application code as per industry coding best practices

- Analyze and debug application source code

- Collaborate with business partners / users / Product Owner(s) for business requirement clarifications and sustainment issues

- Continuous monitor application / system health in CI/CD as well

- Develop sustainable/scalable software design, architecture consistent with Design principles/industry best practices

- Prepare work/task break down for the features and make product backlog healthy

- Implement modern application features or technologies as per industry standards

- Improve security features for the application based on Modern Authentication & Authorization

- Innovate or improve process/product features to enhance or improve business / application

- Develop technical documentations

Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree or Masters degree from a recognized university in Computer Sciences

- Minimum of 8 years experience in software development with Microsoft toolchain with emphasis on WPF, WCF/Web API, C#, .NET, MS-SQL. Entity Framework

- Prior work experience with design patterns, unit testing and testable code.

- Prior work experience in the following :

a. Microsoft Azure

b. Web API- Restful Services

c. User Interface Development e.g. WPF and QT frameworks, UI patterns such as MVVM

d. Agile Development

e. CI/CD Pipelines

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience :

- Upstream oil and gas industry

- Angular, ReactJS, TypeScript, Java Script, CSS, HTML5
