Description/Responsibilities:
1) Provide subject matter expertise with data exchange challenges between WVO and Cloud SaaS/PaaS providers.
2) Analyze data sources (including data profiling), requirements and business rules, and perform logical data modeling mapping and gap analysis.
3) Assume the role of subject matter expert (SME) on emerging data related technologies.
4) Develop logical data models, metadata definitions and models.
5) Ensure development and maintenance of robust data architecture documentation using ER/Studio and ER/Business Architect.
6) Design and develop solutions that identify data issues and report errors for further analysis.
7) Collaborate with other data architects for data model management, version control, and potential system interactions.
8) Partner with data architects to instill industry best practices and generally accepted procedures across the enterprise.
9) Provide guidance on steering existing data dependencies into future API based interaction solutions.
10) Analyze system architectures and their relationships to database needs.
11) Collaborate with application teams to create source to target mapping documents.
12) Collaborate with application and services teams to design databases and interfaces which fully meet business and technical requirements.

Conduct/Participate in rapid proof of concept exercises.
14) Direct pilot implementations (hands on).
15) Researches, collects and documents current state data architecture, data dependencies, and processes.
16) Specifies the approach(s) that will be used to address data migration requirements.
17) Develops and documents a plan to evolve current Data Architecture to an improved future state Data Architecture which meets established, developing, and anticipated needs.
18) Establishes standards, policy, and processes for Data Architecture use concerning transport methods, platforms, monitoring standards, recovery requirements, data privacy, encryption, security and overall
effectiveness/efficiency. Particularly with respect to cloud dependencies.
19) Provides consultation on future Data Architecture Strategies.
20) Provides consultation with current application development efforts involving data dependencies.
21) Maintains awareness of the latest developments in key areas of responsibility and brings forward opportunities that might benefit the organization teaching and mentoring others as needed.
Requirements:
1) Minimum B.S. in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Management Information Systems or equivalent degree/work experience.
2) At least 5 years of relevant work experience, including at least 2 years working with cloud to on-premise data dependencies.
3) Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and stakeholders.
4) Working experience with (Sales)Force.com is desired.
5) Experience in reverse engineering of existing source system data structures.
6) Experience in conducting data model reviews with project team members.
7) Experience in providing API based data access solutions around "eventual consistency" concepts.
8) Experience designing data model solutions for various transactional and/or analytical databases.
9) Strong data analysis skills.
10) Experience with data modeling tools, such as ER Studio.
11) Expert understanding of RDBMS and ETL concepts.
12) Experience in application software development methodologies, techniques, processes and tools.
13) Exceptional leadership, mentoring, listening and communication skills.
14) Ability to translate business strategy into technical terms and technology strategy into business terms.
15) Strong ability to influence without having direct authority.
