Data at Roman:

Every single business unit evaluates its efforts on a weekly basis using our BI tool (Looker). Quarterly goals are all defined using data-based results. Any decision to be made takes into account all data that exists.

All data at the company - including production data, all third party data, all clinical data, all customer care data, all digital/out-of-home attribution sequence data, and all productionized analysis data - is centralized in our data warehouse and fully interconnected.
The vast majority is accessible via our BI tool. Our stack is rooted in AWS, and we’ve carefully engineered our setup to require minimal ETL maintenance.

Our core data models are constantly growing and changing as our product/engineering teams iterate at lightning speed and the company’s offerings grow.

Transparency:

Requirements

Whitney's Technology



Our main website was built in-house on Ruby on Rails 5, with a MySQL database, SASS, JavaScript ES6, webpack, runs within Docker on Linux servers, and is served through NGINX. It integrates with several other systems and API's using JSON and XML. Some of our other sites are built in Python (Django), Drupal 7, and WordPress, and run on Apache. Everything is versioned through Git.

  • Drive technical operational excellence at Motius

Basic Qualification:



  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related field

  • 5+ years of overall technical experience, including deep technical knowledge of large-scale web / app services

  • 1+ years of experience leading engineering and technical teams

  • 1+ years of experience in managing products, budgets and justifying resource needs to leaders and partners

  • Demonstrated team building skills – be able to bring people together, hire, develop and motivate staff members, create appropriately challenging projects for team members, and instill a high sense of pride in the team’s accomplishments.

  • A record of driving outstanding operations for large scale technology services

  • Must be able to effectively hold other departments accountable while maintaining good working relations with them.

  • A proven track record of innovative thinking balanced with a strong customer and quality focus.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Above mentioned technical experience, preferably in JavaScript (React, Angular, Node), Python (Tornado, Flask, Django), Databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)

  • Experience in infrastructure Engineering (DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, Continuous Delivery & Integration)

  • Experience in Startup / Young Tech Company environments
