The Client Document Solutions team manages hundreds of millions of documents across the Wealth Management estate. We are building the strategic platform that will centralize all document management functions into a collection of core services and align our infrastructure with current global standards.
If you possess a "can do" attitude, are driven by research, problem solving, and thrive on challenges, we want to speak with you. The successful candidate enjoys continuing improvement of communication skills and understanding of the domain in which the platform is being written. You'll apply your past experience with all aspects of technical operations to develop an innovative approach to simplify and streamline processes to increase system scalability and reliability, improve efficiency and minimize errors. You'll work closely with Development and QA teams to provide continuous improvement of existing features and rollout of new services, ensuring high availability of our platform. You're comfortable with infrastructure and configuration, but happy to roll up your sleeves, with tests, debug and rollout new releases.
Passion for bleeding edge technology is a must, as is the willingness to explore and propose interesting solutions to client business problems.
Key Responsibilities
Continuously improve the efficiency and productivity of the development team
Own continuous integration and automated testing pipelines
Accelerate the move of our applications to the strategic container platform, creating cloud formation templates to support our custom Java application
Manage lifecycle of both internally developed and vendor-based solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our development, test and production environments
Works well as a team member within technology and other disciplines (creative, delivery management, etc.) on large projects


9+ years of strong Linux and Windows administration and shell scripting experience
9+ development exposure to Java, JS, Python and .Net technologies
9+ years of Subversion, GIT/Stash and Bitbucket administration and deployment skills experience
9+ years of experience with Ant, Maven, nAnt, Shell, Perl, Chef, Ansible and Puppet for script automation
3+ years of experience with containers and supporting technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and CloudFoundry
Familiarity with applications servers such as WebSphere, .Net and Tomcat
Experience with Atlassian tools like Bamboo, Jira, Confluence
Experience with MSSQL, DB2, Oracle and other databases preferred; NoSQL experience such as Spark, MongoDB and Neo4J a plus

Desirable skills/experience
Experience in the financial services industry, Wealth Management Client Reporting or Document Management
Experience or exposure to Java and Javascript frameworks such as Akka or Node.js
