Who are we
The group SW Development & Operations within the department Powertrain Controls and Calibration (PCC) consists of 15 persons who are among other things responsible for development and maintenance of our build system, integration testing and quality assurance. Our group is the main accountable for the software integration between our internally developed software and the external supplier software.

Your mission
As a Software integration engineer you will be part of a team responsible for the planning, testing and delivery of in-house developed software. You will be involved in maintaining and upgrading our continuous integration environment with all the required parts, Jira, Git, Jenkins and more. Our software is designed and developed at Volvo with model-based design in Simulink supported by an information database based on System Weaver.
You will be making sure that our development teams have the right tools, information and support to deliver fantastic products.
Your daily responsibilities will be:
* Compile delivery needs into a common schedule and communicate it to the affected parties
* Visualize the integration and test status and communicate it to all applicable stakeholders
* Evaluate new tools for supporting efficient development, test and delivery
* Act as first line support for the software development teams with regards to integration issues
* Develop and maintain support for our information database System Weaver
* Deliver integrated and tested SW to the customer projects
You and your skills
We believe you have a Master of science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent with relevant experience. You have experience of working with versioning and revision control systems e.g. Git and have a knowledge of Jenkins or similar automation tool. Experience with Jira or similar issue tracking tool are sure an asset. You are expected to have an understanding of software development workflow and processes. You are fluent in English, written and spoken and have a driving license B, which is valid in Sweden.
Some of the qualifications are however meritorious, but for sure beneficial to have:
* Expertise in SystemWeaver
* Experience in software development for embedded systems
* Understanding of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
* Experience in Matlab and m-script
* Understanding of model-based systems, Simulink/TargetLink
Who are you
We believe you have good communication skills and ability to collaborate with different stakeholders. You should be a great team player, have a structural approach at your work and possess good analytical skills. Your focus needs to be centred towards daily issues as well as having long-term vision and strategy. Last, but not least, you should have the ability to assess different software solutions and enjoy developing new ones.
