Job Description

The Digital Self Servicing Account Management team is looking for innovative and passionate Java developer to help tackle development of new features. The candidate will be working with an exciting team of developers in an agile environment to deliver the projects on time and with high quality.

The successful candidate will have expertise and knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Cassandra, Kafka, CI/CD integration and possess the ability to implement those methodologies across the development life cycle. The individual will play a critical role in every phase of the SDLC and need to communicate and liaison with various stakeholders and teams across the business and technology space. The candidate must be able to step up to every challenge the position offers, meet deadlines and deliver quality code that meets JPMC standards. This role will provide great potential for individual growth and exposure to cutting edge technologies like building Cloud native applications. The position will provide opportunity to embrace Agile methodologies and adopt tools for Continuous integration and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design development for Digital Self Servicing Account Management applications
* Follow and promote Agile practices like Scrum
* Collaborate with other team members in an Agile environment interacting with business owners and other technology teams
* Deliver technical solution based on the business requirement by getting involved in the full development life cycle of analysis, design, testing and implementation of various projects
* Write clean and testable code adhering to best coding standards
* Document detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop and enhance software application modules.
* Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to predefined architectural specifications.
* Support production environment for stability when required by troubleshooting application code-related issues
* Required Qualifications:
* Minimum 4 years of hands-on Software Engineering/Development experience in Core Java, Object-oriented analysis and design techniques
* Hands-on experience on developing Rest APIs using SpringBoot
* Hands-on experience building high throughput and resilient Java applications
* Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in Cassandra or other NoSQL Database technologies including table design
* Quick learner and experience in delivering end-to-end technology solutions
* Experience with Job Scheduling tools like Control-M
* Experience working with Kafka streaming, Infrastructure, Containers and Cloud is a plus
* Adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques utilizing programming skills and contribute to the technical code base including any required documentation.

A Senior Frontend Software Engineer in Digital Commercial Bank will work across a range of products and technologies. They will have two focuses: Primarily, they will be building customer facing User Experiences using various JavaScript Single Page App technologies like React and Angular. Secondarily, they will work across the tech stack by building micro services and storing/sharing data via technologies like Cassandra and Kafka.

A Senior Frontend Software Engineer should have significant hands-on experience building enterprise level web applications across UI, services, and database. They should work at an expert level in building modern single page UI applications using OO JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. It is preferred that they have experience working with API Gateways that adhere to data governance. It is also preferred that they have experience designing and implementing REST APIs. They would ultimately be responsible for troubleshooting and debugging applications at all layers, but primarily at the UI layer.

Responsibilities:
* Participate in code reviews
* Participate in design sessions with fellow programmers, business analysts, and other team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution
* Primarily, design and write code for web/mobile using JavaScript, HTML and CSS that scale to high-volume production quality
* Secondarily, design and implement secure and robust REST APIs using technologies such as Java Spring Boot or Spring MVC
* Prototype creative solutions quickly, and be able to collaborate with others in crafting and implementing your technical vision
* Contribute and collaborate in creation and consumption of open, standards-based solutions, while working with existing JPMorgan technologies and infrastructure
* Identify opportunities for process and tool improvements and drive those from concept to implementation

Qualifications
* BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
* 5-7 years of experience in IT industry with strong web development experience
* 5+ years of experience with HTML5, CSS, OO JavaScript, JavaScript Frameworks like Angular or React on enterprise sites
* Prefer 5+ years of experience writing enterprise level REST/SOAP services with Java Spring MVC or Spring Boot, ASP.Net, or NodeJS
* Prefer experience deploying applications to the cloud using AWS, Azure, or CloudFoundry
* Prefer familiarity with messaging frameworks like MQ and Kafka
* Excellent understanding of development concepts and SDLC methodologies
