Job Description - Hadoop Developer


1. Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring

2. Experience building and optimizing big data data pipelines, architectures and data sets.

3. Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.

4. Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.

5. A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets.

6. Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable - big data- data stores.

7. Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.

8. Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra.

- Handled importing of data from various data sources, performed transformations using Hive, MapReduce, loaded data into HDFS and Extracted the data from MySQL into HDFS using Sqoop.

- Involved in creating Hadoop Map-reduce programs to process the data in a distributed way.

- Developed Sqoop scripts to import all database objects and data from existing MySQL databases.

- Analyzed the data by performing Hive queries (HiveQL) and running Pig scripts (Pig Latin) for data ingestion and egress.

- Good experience in Hive partitioning, bucketing and perform different types of joins on Hive tables and implementing Hive Serde like JSON and ORC.

- Expertise in working with Hive data warehouse ecosystem-creating tables, DML operations and writing and HiveQL operations for desired requirements.

- Monitoring the production environment and solving the abend jobs.

- Performed unit testing using MRUnit and prepared Unit Test Cases and Test results.

- Created Technical Specification for new/CRQ applications.

- Created the mapping document for new applications and for CRQ's (Change Request)

- Updated deployment template/guide for code promotion to QA.

- Handling data rejection during data load. Capturing the Exception and Rejection records.

9. Experience with stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc.

10. Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Scala, etc.

The .NET MVC Developer Role
We are looking for a .NET Developer with demonstrable expertise in MVC architecture who can design and develop highly scalable and robust applications, with drive to create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design, clear navigation and secure browsing. You will be a part of a collaborative Agile development team and work with Architects, Product Owners, Scrum Master, Senior Developers and UI/UX design staff on both the front and back-end elements of the Web application to be used by customers all over the world.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages
  • Analyse requirements and design new functionality
  • Support and fix existing functionality
  • Collaborate with functional teams in Pune and the UK to develop products to deliver end-to-end products and features and fix bugs for better performance
  • Perform code and design reviews for code implemented by peers or as per the code review process
  • Test and deploy applications and systems
  • Revise, update, refactor and debug code
  • Build, design and develop our highly scalable, fault-tolerant, highly available web app
  • Educate staff members through training and individual support
  • Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven expert in .NET Developer or Application Developer
  • 5-7 years of .NET MVC architecture experience
  • In-depth expertise and hands-on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, .NET, C#,JS, JQuery and APIs
  • Familiarity with SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC))
  • Knowledge of at least one of the .NET languages (e.g. C#, Visual Basic .NET) and HTML5/CSS3
  • Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC)
  • Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Proven experience of adhering to coding standards, performing code reviews, committing to Azure DevOps, preparing documents, automated testing, and operations
  • Strong understanding of UI requirements, cross-browser compatibility requirements, general web functions and standards
  • Hands-on experience with at least one web hosting platform such as AWS (Amazon Web Services), Microsoft Azure, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of networking
  • Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to Web Applications
  • Fluency in both written and verbal English
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work collaboratively to achieve objectives
