Senior Front-end / JS Developer (Remote) at iubenda (Milan, Italy) (allows remote)

What you'll do:

  • Design, develop and maintain Front-End applications with Vue.js and vanilla JavaScript with excellent test coverage;
  • Lead Code Reviews and mentor colleagues;
  • Create a positive environment for the people around you, sharing knowledge with everyone and helping the team grow;
  • Collaborate with designers, team leads, and stakeholders to understand business goals, analyze requirements and propose technical solutions. It's not just about writing code :-)


Location

Bologna and Milan, Italy or remote. Our offices are incredibly nice places to work from, both are located in the center of their respective cities. We are currently offering a hybrid work model, in which we give the possibility to our team members to work from one of our offices up to 2 days per week and/or work remotely.

As a Software Engineer you will partner with the development, cyber security and architecture teams to implement best practices for all aspects of an agile software development workflow: including requirements gathering, technical design and development modernization. You will participate in the entire technology stack, while helping to maintain Asset management applications. You will also help build relationships with the business users, and work directly with the team's leads to drive development modernization standards to satisfy technology management requirements.

Responsibilities include:
Work collaboratively with Product Owners and Lead Developers to provide efficient design solution approach.
Accurately estimate and plan JIRA stories
Perform hands on coding and participate in code peer reviews to guarantee stability of applications, adhere to architecture standards, risk management, security policies, processes and procedures
Adherence to a fully Agile, CI/CD, Dev/OPS environment.
Learn existing databases and data replication processes
Help Build / improve client relationships through proactive communication and face-to-face meetings
Provide SME level production support as required

Qualifications:
4+ years of professional experience as an enterprise application developer
o Excellent understanding of Java development
o Excellent understanding JavaScript frameworks(Angular / ReactJS, JavaScript, NodeJs),
o Experience in UI design focusing on CSS, SCSS/Sass & HTML5
o Experience working with cloud based applications utilizing containers (AWS experience preferred)
o Experience with Advanced Design Patterns/Data structures
Demonstrated a working understanding of:
o RESTful communication within Spring/Spring Boot
o Messaging JMS

Proven ability to work in a scrum teams to develop a strategy and ultimately to implement high quality technical solutions. A willingness to adhere to Agile methodologies

Experience with the following:
o Test Driven Development focusing on unit, functional & integration testing, Jenkins pipeline, Automated Testing tools: Selenium, Cucumber, Nautilus
o Experience with RDMS Database (Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views, Indexes)
o Linux/Unix Shell Scripting (Preferred)
o Issue resolution processes for application production problems
Demonstrated understanding of how to effectively manage source code (GIT)
Experience with enterprise software deployment and release automation processes
