Tech College Position Overview:

As a Software Engineering Lead for Tech College, youll be responsible for developing applications and tools that support and enhance Technology Learning at Capital One. Youll work closely with Product Owners to ensure all products align with Tech College initiatives.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about software craftsmanship and staying up to date with industry trends and enjoys being hands on technically. Youll work with and help mentor a team of engineers, designers, and learning specialists to develop products that will fuel our growth as a Tech company and help our associates develop cutting-edge skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with/mentor the engineering team to create new applications and support existing platforms

  • Deliver code that complies with enterprise quality standards and conventions

  • Be an active member of the learning community; either as a student or by supporting trainings

  • Remediate and improve code to deliver strong, quality products

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree

  • At least 4 years of experience in Software Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree

  • 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Javascript/Typescript, Python, Angular/React.js, or Node.js

  • 1+ years of experience in Agile practices

  • 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another public cloud service

  • Design, develop, and maintain APIs

  • Develop front-end web pages for marketing, accounts, dashboards (HTML, CSS)

  • Help maintain software, fix bugs, and release updates

Must Haves:



  • 7+ years of experience in web, game, or related software development

  • Proficient in JavaScript, React, Node, and popular frameworks

  • Experience and passion developing products for kids or casual audience

  • Multi-platform development experience on mobile and web

Researchers can define new tasks by showing Elicit just a few examples of the task being done. Elicit then scales those tasks to thousands of publications and datasets.


The Role and Your Impact:



  • Build intuitive interfaces that let research analysts use language models as tools for thought

  • Add ways for users to quickly provide feedback to the tool to create an interactive training loop

  • Build support for teams and collaboration

  • Connect Elicit with external data sources such as spreadsheets, site searches


What You May Bring:
