Lead Technical Consultant -Domo with expertise in end to end Domo implementations .This will be a
travel ro le and will be looking for someone open for
50% travel.
Job Overview
As a
Lead Domo Consultant you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our clients. As a member working in a team environment you will work with solution architects and developers on interpretation/translation of wireframes and creative designs into functional requirements, and subsequently into technical design.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical planning & requirements gathering phases including estimate, develop, test, manage projects, architect and deliver.
- Serve as a technical lead and mentor. Provide technical support or leadership in the development and continual improvement of service.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members.
- Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting business intelligence systems in a BI or ETL Developer role.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP etc.
- Client facing or consulting experience highly preferred.
- Works with customers, end-users, technical analyst, and application designers to define the data requirements and structure to answer key business questions and solve business problems for customers.
- Designs models for the data warehouse or data mart (data structure, storage, and integration).
- Works with our team to aggregate large data sets for use within Domo solutions.
- Develops, designs, and optimizes complex SQL queries.
- Leads the database analysis, design, and build effort.
- Designs maps of source system data to data warehouse models.
- Develop strategies for data acquisitions and integration of the new data into Domo's Data Engine.
- Consultation and mentoring customers on best practices and skills to drive greater self-sufficiency.
- Expert SQL skills required.
- Expertise with Windows and Linux environments.
- Expertise with at least one of the following database technologies and familiarity with the others: relational, columnar and NoSQL (i.e. MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL, Vertica, MongoDB).
- Understanding of data modeling skills (i.e. conceptual, logical and physical model design - with both traditional 3rd normal form as well as dimensional modeling, such as star and snowflake).
- Experience dealing with large data sets.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VBA (Visual Basic for Applications).
- Phenomenal communicators who can explain and present concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike, including high level decision makers.
- Bachelors Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering or comparable major.
- Solid foundation in Computer Science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design.
- Knowledge and experience in developing software using agile methodologies.
- Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents.
- Ability to communicate effectively via multiple channels (verbal, written, etc.) with technical and non-technical staff.

- Experience working with Web Technologies (Javascript, Html, CSS)
- Experience with scripting technologies (Java, Python,R, etc.)
- Experience defining scope and requirements for projects
- Experience with statistical methodologies.

- Experience with Large ERP systems (SAP, Oracle JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, etc)
- Understanding of Data Science, Data Modeling and analytics
