Faegre Baker Daniels has an opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer to work with our Technology Delivery & Operations (TDO) team in our Minneapolis office. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to managing and maintaining the IT services, systems, and infrastructure across the firm. This position will work with other talented individuals who share a passion for doing great work in the best interest of our clients.
What you would do in this job:
Build and support firmwide server and network environment based on current infrastructure and network architectural standards
Assist in providing support for SAN and storage related solutions
Develop preventative measures to deploy in the enterprise as proactive solutions or through root cause analysis for service interruption
Review system security patches and deploy appropriately across the environment
Assist in developing capacity and backup plans for all server and network equipment
Prepare and patch all servers approximately four times per years
Assess business and technology initiatives, providing consultation, technical support, and recommendations to optimally utilize the network and infrastructure systems
Develop and maintain non-production (development, testing, QA) copies of the production environments
Work with vendors to provide reliable network and infrastructure services to firm personnel, and assist in maintaining service contracts with same
Act as top tier escalation point for network and operational-related issues
Adhere to existing ITIL processes as documented by FaegreBD
Special projects and duties as assigned

Requirements
Bachelors degree required, preferably in Computer Science or related area; 5+ years of hands-on experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA or Network+) highly preferred
3+ years of hands-on network experience, including wireless support and troubleshooting, and administering a Microsoft network
Solid experience with Microsoft Back Office Servers (AD, Exchange, SQL, IIS) and VMware
Working knowledge of clustering, high availability, Windows patching solutions, security, NetApp SANs, or other enterprise backup solutions
1+ year of experience in network design, network security, and wireless and mobility solutions
