Data Scientist at ALIS Software LLC (Houston, TX)

Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive
business solutions / decisions.
Mine and analyze data from multiple systems / data bases, integrate and prepare analytical data
sets.
Develop hypothesis to build models (or) validate assumptions to solve business problems.
Develop code, test, debug, implement and document python programs focusing on data
engineering, statistical /machine learning models. Code will focus on
o Data cleaning / wrangling
o Models on Pattern detection, Insights development, Exploratory and statistical analysis,
Forecasting and Prediction
Connect model outputs to business metrics and explain to business stakeholders for approval to
implement.
Develop processes to implement models and monitor outcomes and model performance.
Skill set and Qualifications:
Required:
Experience in using statistical packages (Python, R etc).
Experience in Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn and Text Mining libraries in Python (or comparable
libraries in R)
Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
Exposure to Data mining and Statistical analysis Regression, Correlation, Classification etc
Knowledge and experience in handling data bases MS SQL / MY SQL
Exposure to Big data technologies is preferred.
Experience in handling time series data is preferred.
2-5 years of work experience in Data analysis, building statistical and Machine Learning
