NEW opportunity in South Houston to provide advanced system support for Oracle R12 E-business Suite and related third-party applications acting as an internal Technical/Functional support analyst. Opportunity to learn a new industry and grow with the company.

Oracle Support Analyst includes gathering business requirements, design and maintenance of business applications, application configuration, systems testing, and end-user production support.  Provide both technical and functional support to the business.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for analyzing and resolving functional and technical problems of supported applications including OM and related modules for example advanced pricing, shipping, inventory and quality as primary duties.

• Opportunity to learn and support other modules including PO, Projects, HRMS, Excel4Apps, OTM, Quality, SysAdmin.

• Design and support solutions using Oracle Workflows, Forms Personalization and SOA..

• Provide production and ad-hoc reporting and interface solutions to complex query needs of the business using a variety of reporting tools.    

• Research user problems in area of expertise and ability to research and learn areas outside of area of expertise

• Support and/or install software applications

• Provide patch and upgrade testing

• Provide support for Oracle module implementation projects or other applications as needed

• Write and Test reports
  

• Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and implement or revise new or existing systems as necessary

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor degree (BS) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related field

• Proficiency with SQL and PL/SQL and knowledge of Oracle Apps table structures required

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required

• 3 years experience with Oracle Release 12 required

• 5 years equivalent work experience required

•  3 years techno-functional application support experience in one of more of these modules - Oracle Projects, Accounting, Procurement, Transportation and Order Management required

• Desire to learn and support other areas within company's applications portfolio.

• A Plus-Skills with Oracle developer tools including reports, XML publisher, workflow builder
