Our Data Science team is growing! We are looking for a Principal Data Scientist to use Machine Learning to help optimize hundreds of millions of dollars of Marketing spend and to help increase customer long-term value through relevant and engaging communications. This exciting opportunity would allow you to solve high-impact, complex problems using some of the latest technology and approaches.
In addition, you will mentor and provide technical support to more junior members of the team and help ensure the timely delivery of key projects.

What you'll do:
Build, deploy and optimise machine learning models which support improved acquisition and profitability of customers. This will entail working on a broad range of projects, including:
Optimizing our bidding strategies within Acquisition channels (accounting for seasonal trends, spend constraints, auction dynamics…)
Predicting customers long-term value to optimise spend allocation, re-targeting strategies…
Predicting customers intent and preferences to tailor landing pages, online advertising, Email/Push communications…
Mentor and provide technical support to more junior members of the team
Work in close partnership with Global Marketing, Product, Data and Technology teams to identify new opportunities to leverage Data Science and ensure that key projects that are carried out in the team are delivered in a timely fashion.
Develop a deep understanding of our data infrastructure and champion infrastructure development needs which will help the whole team work more effectively.
Be a technical leader on use, adoption and implementation of machine learning.
Who you are
MSc or PhD degree in any of the following fields: machine learning or computer science, statistics, mathematics with strong machine learning component;
Hands on experience in machine learning, building datasets, selecting and engineering features, building and optimizing algorithms;
Experience in several of the following domains: Real-time bidding, Learn-to-Rank, Recommender Systems, NLP, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Regression, Classification, Clustering
Advanced knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Scala;
Experience with statistics/machine learning packages such as Spark MLlib, Python (scikit-learn, pandas, numpy, scipy, Matplotlib), Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch etc.
Good SQL/data manipulation skills required including cleaning and managing data;
Good programming practices, ability to write readable, fast code.
Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn new things, techniques and technologies
Nice to have:
Knowledge of test design, implementation and evaluation, with website A/B testing experience a plus;
Real world experience with Internet scale data on Spark, Hadoop or similar platform highly preferred;
Experience with data visualisation tools and packages
