We are a fast growing San Diego based company looking for a dedicated DevOps and release engineer with a background in software development. We are rocking an EC2 Cloud infrastructure with lots of moving parts that requires constant updating and maintenance. In addition to maintaining and developing the server infrastructure, your job would include working closely with our marvelous engineering department and focusing on packaging and deploying our software to the forementioned infrastructure. As a part of this job, you will be helping in streamlining our processes, creating, researching and maintaining our release management tools as well as helping us resolve and troubleshoot issues in our development, test and production environments.
Experience in managing CloudFormation templates along with different AWS services such as RDS come as a big advantage as well as a familiarity with Ansible and working with POSIX systems. Working with git should be second nature to you.
Since you will also be working closely to engineering, a background in software development is necessary. While the job does not directly involve engineering efforts, being able to understand the connections within the software for building releases comes as a huge bonus.
You will be working with a fun, enthusiastic and team of professionals who will be happy to get you acquainted with our software and jump into new challenges with you! You'll find that we at SOCi run a very tight ship here!
Being able to work from the office is also preferred, although remote applications will also be considered.
