The Deloitte Application Modernization Team - specialists in converting legacy information technology systems to modern languages - is currently seeking Java Software Engineers. This is an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in one of the hottest areas in the market.



Your Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent working experience
• 2+ years of experience in Java Development



It is a plus if you have:
• Good knowledge of object oriented design principles and software architectures.
• Unit testing; test driven development is a plus
• Good understanding of software build tools (Ant, Maven)



What you’ll do:
• Drive new features throughout the whole software development life cycle
• Build high quality software components to support projects in broadly facetted industries (public sector, financial services, healthcare, consumer and industrial products, etc.)
• Develop ground breaking technologies which disrupts the legacy world
• Perform code reviews and utilize Test Driven Development to ensure a consistently high quality of the codebase
• Become a Subject Matter Expert in our products and solutions
• Marry old and new technologies
