Zenput was founded in 2012 with headquarters in San Francisco, CA and a second office in Atlanta, GA. We are defining a new category, Operations Performance Management, focusing on helping retailers and food service companies deal with the human operations both in the field and at their stores. Over 35,000 locations in more than 40 countries rely on Zenput for day-to-day operations. We are always looking for highly motivated, passionate individuals who want to join a fast paced, growing company.
Because we want to keep growing quickly, we created a new Senior Engineer role. As an Senior Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing new features and helping to maintain and update our enterprise platform. Working collaboratively with other talented engineers as an empathetic system thinker you will continue to evolve our platform even closer to a Human Operating System. Our team is comprised of hungry individuals who enjoy the challenge and thrill of building a company as well as solving real problems that have a huge impact on our customer's businesses.
WHAT YOU’LL DO AS A Senior Engineer
Our software stack leans heavily on JSON, HTML5 and Javascript. We extensively use Backbone in the frontend, connected to a Python/Django backend, with MySQL and Mongo for persistence. Our iOS and Android apps are also fully written with HTML and Javascript to round out our end-to-end JSON based stack.
- Using our entire technology stack and to develop new features and applications for the Zenput platform, including commenting and messaging, webhooks and APIs
- Contribute and influence the Design and Development decisions
- Under a 2 week sprint cadence, Help drive releases often and quickly
- Continue to harden your DevOps experience working in a TDD/CI environment
- Use Jira, Slack, Zoom to communicate with your team and leadership
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 7+ years programming in multiple languages
- 3 + years programming in Python
- CS/CIS/Systems Mentality
- A deep understanding about request life cycles, system architecture, and user behavior
- MySQL/Postgres/RDBMS experience. (No, ORM's don't count)
- Someone fun, interesting, and likes to build and hack. Not just software!
- Nice to haves: JavaScript, Django, NoSQL
