Cloud Platform Engineer (DevOps)

Responsibilities
Deliver a resilient and highly-scalable platform for application development across the globe, with a strong focus on continuous delivery and operational insight
Address incidents and problems within the platform, with rotational accountability for on-call support
Collaborate with platform and software engineers, site reliability engineers, product managers, and engineering leadership to uncover pain points and opportunities to accelerate the delivery of new value through software
Prototype and build new capabilities to increase the leverage of platform operations and security
Deliver an exceptional user experience to our engineers, with a focus on self-service and continuous delivery
Basic Qualifications
An entrepreneurial spirit and comfort working within a rapidly changing startup environment; you love the challenge of working on a small team and being part of a larger movement to change the engineering culture of an enterprise
Understanding of distributed cloud platforms through configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management automation tools
Experience with agile and DevOps principles, test-driven development, continuous integration, and other approaches to accelerate the delivery of new features
Experimenting with emerging technologies and understanding how they will impact what comes next
Write scripts in Python, Go to interact with and connect different systems and tools
Strong experience with Web Services, languages and formats including RESTful APIs, JSON, Python, Flask, bash, etc.
Container technology experience (e.g. Docker, rkt, Mesos, or Kubernetes)
Experience with Jenkins, Bamboo, Concourse or other Continuous Integration tool
A capacity for constant learning from success and failure, remaining open to change and continuous improvement
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities that enable you to manage through creative abrasion
Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively articulate and communicate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes across all levels in the organization
Required Qualifications
Experience in one or more of the following is required:
o Platform Services related to Cloud:
Alibaba, AWS, Azure, GCP
o Platform as a Service related experience including:
Red Hat OpenShift, Pivotal Cloud Foundry
