Information Systems Solutions (ISS) is seeking a Senior-level Cloud Architect to assist a U.S. Government customer with start-up and future sustainment of GovCloud technologies running on Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure. You will serve as a subject matter expert on a Cloud Engineering Team tasked with designing, securing and deploying solutions to internal customers.The overall mission is to support various projects with their migration to the cloud to realize efficiencies offered by such a solution.
Specific job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop automation using Lambda, ARM, Python, PowerShell, etc.
- Participate in meetings with various stakeholders to define business rules for operating in cloud environments and develop migration plans
- Design and implement technical controls to enforce cloud business rules
- Interface with customers to provide technical support and guidance for transitioning solutions to the cloud
- Understand Cloud Security Requirements Guide and industry best practices for cloud computing
- Support a Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) running on Amazon AWS
Clearance Level
- Secret
Certifications (IAT Level II)
One of the following:
- Security+ CE
- GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
- Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP)
- System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
and one of the following:
- Linux +
- LPIC-2 - Advanced Level Linux Professional
- LPIC-3 - Senior Level Linux Professional
- RHCE - Red Hat Certified Engineer
- RHCSA - Red Hat Certified System Administrator
- RHCDS - Red Hat Certified Data Center Specialist
Required Skills
- 2+ years knowledge and experience with Amazon AWS
Desired Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Azure
- Amazon AWS Certification
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and ITIL Certification
