DevOps Engineer at Softtek (Fort Worth, TX)

Participate in design, implement and/or migrate to a full DevOps Software CI/CD for applications portfolio. Create and maintain infrastructure to automate the build and release software applications, as well as test and troubleshoot. Responsible for executing and coordinating integration tests, overseeing testing procedures to identify compatibility or performance issues, and use engineering tools to automate processes and increase productivity.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD delivery pipeline.
  • Research new improvements to framework build packaging and deployment.
  • Resolve build issues.
  • Customize source code, coordinate code changes, and bug tracking tools.
  • Manage source code, change control, configuration management, and build deployment activities.
  • Continuous integration and deployment of internal tools to multiple environments.
  • Management and documentation of deployment processes and automation.
  • Environment management.
  • Communicating issues to the development team.
  • Working with developers and QA to ensure builds are stable upon release.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshoot build problems, and advertising these to the team.
  • Assist and support developers.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in below tools:
    • Jenkins, BuildForge
    • Scripting languages like PowerShell, Ant, Shell or Python
    • Experience in Ant, Maven & Gradle based builds
    • Bitbucket/Git
    • Nexus
    • SonarQube
    • Docker
    • Kubernetes
    • Cloud - AWS
  • Experience on Migrating below tools:
    • Ant to Maven/Gradle
    • BuildForge to Jenkins
  • Implement automated testing as part of Continuous Integration
  • Experience on Application Deployments in Linux environment.
  • Linux Administration
  • Application Integration using REST APIs
