The Oracle Functional Analyst will be responsible for providing global applications support for all business applications to business stakeholders. Responsibilities include supporting and managing all business application initiative efforts in a large IT environment.


The Oracle Functional Analyst will be responsible for business requirement analysis, solution design and development of functional specifications across the business and ERP systems. The role requires exercise of discretion and independent judgement in evaluation of user request/requirement, determining and implementing an optimum approach/solution and related documentation by applying system analysis techniques and procedures. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with Super users, Engineering, Document Control, Technical and other internal IT application teams.


Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Using department standard project management methodologies (PMP), analyze user operational requirements to develop functional specifications, test cases, justifications etc.
Provide functional support for both application and business process issues
Document all requests and ensure that the project management process methodology is adhered to including submission/updates to the governance board as required
Understand, perform and coordinate the analysis and design of business systems
Develop and execute system testing and test plans as required as well as coordinate and conduct internal user support and training
Act as a liaison between the business user groups and the technical systems groups
Identify and document application integration requirements
Develop and test solutions in collaboration with end-users, execute production migration and post-install support
Improve process flow and user documentation for Oracle ERP and enhance user knowledge and competency
Maintain a stable and accurate Oracle Applications production instance that meets customer needs in line with compliance and audit policies
Create and manage Oracle Support Service Requests as and when required
Design and manage the delivery of program specifications based on consultations with supervisor, programmers, external contractors and end users
Document, propose and optimize Oracle ERP applications configuration to provide best usability and information availability
Maintain consistency across functionality and processes globally. Understand the business models across our global enterprise and any unique services / applications / localizations
Cross train internal IT on Oracle ERP new features, functionality and integrations


Qualifications

Minimum 6 years of hands-on techno-functional experience in working with Oracle ERP, specifically Procure to Pay (P2P) path, Supply Chain (SCM), Bill of Materials (BOM) and Costing modules required
Deep exposure of information systems, business processes and measures of success
Thorough understanding of technical and functional aspects of Oracle ERP including Application Object Library (AOL)
Ability to be engaged in various levels of application development including interaction with end users for requirement analysis, system analysis and design, system testing and integration, implementation and documentation required
Demonstrated proficiency and willingness to server as an internal subject matter expert (SME) for Oracle ERP Manufacturing modules including SCM, BOM, Inventory, Costing etc. providing feasibility analysis, solution design and new functionality implementation as required
Proficient in writing basic to advanced SQL scripts to draw data out of Oracle ERP database for analysis and user request fulfillment
Proven commitment to customer care, system availability, reliability and issue resolution. 

This can include off-hours and on-call support to resolve critical system incidents
This position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently troubleshoot as well as develop alternative solutions to problems.

Education and/or Experience


Bachelors degree in Business or manufacturing/operations, IT related field or equivalent relevant work experience
6+ years of experience in the areas of analysis and design of Oracle ERP applications
Minimum 2+ years of project management
Proficient in Oracle ERP version 12x and above in core Manufacturing modules, must understand Procure to Pay (P2P) path as well a good understanding of Order to Cash (O2C) flow


Language Skills


Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Must be able to effectively communicate with distributed end users on how the Oracle application can assist in supporting their needs
Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
