Our client is working hard to improve and modernize their data strategy. They have a large number of transactional systems generating data about their products, locations, customers, and financial transactions. These systems support hundreds of lines of business. Theyre asking for help migrating their data platform to AWS by reimplementing data strategy and creating a new set of data services to enhance their ability to insulate downstream systems and services from changes to data stores.

Were in need of a Database Engineer who can help our client implement AWS services into a variety of specific business operations. This Database Engineer should be skilled in ETL design, have knowledge of NoSQL solutions, and have experience managing full application stacks from OS to front end.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage knowledge of ETL design and/or administration to implement AWS services in a variety of business environments
• Make use of modern software development practices and technologies, including Agile

Required Experience/Qualifications:

• B.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, or similar technical field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience writing complex SQL and Oracle PL/SQ
• 5+ years importing, merging and exporting data via ETL processes, CSV files, etc.
• Prior experience and knowledge of ETL design and/or administration
• Experience with MongoDB or other No-SQL solutions required
• Experience managing full application stacks from the operating system up through front end applications
• Hands-on experience as a database, data warehouse or big data developer
• Scripting or programming experience in database-related fields
• Hands on experience leading large-scale database projects
• Working knowledge of modern software development practices and technologies such as agile methodologies and DevOps is highly desired
• Track record of implementing AWS services in a variety of business environments such as large enterprises and start-ups
• Understanding of application, server, and network security is highly desired
• Knowledge of Informatica is a plus
• AWS Certifications, e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional highly desirable
