Any Application Developers currently on the job market? BCT just partnered with a major client who needs an Application Developer to start working in the Dallas Metroplex. This is a direct hire position with a large company who is eager to find the right candidate for them. The position will require the candidate to develop new software and application programs to fit the needs and desires of the company.
Responsibilities of the Application Developer include:
- Plans and generates new software programs and applications with developers, programmers, and designers.
- Confers with systems users to determine functional specifications and writes programming code to produce or improve software functionality.
- Consults with end-users to produce documentation relating to the program requirements
- Install software enhancements and upgrades.
- Writes and codes software programs and applications according to stipulations and end-user demands.
- Design, manage and control software performance tests on new and current programs.
Qualifications of the Application Developer include:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 2+ years' background in computer programming and/or operating systems analysis.
- The capability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to provide descriptions of concepts to individuals.
- 3+ years of experience in developing skills is required.
- Excellent DB skills in SQL Server and Oracle.
- Ability to work in Java, .NET, and UNIX shell scripting.
- Preference will be given to candidates with mobile/android dev experience.
- Knowledge of GIS/ESRI is a plus.
