Duties:Adapt to the Agile software development lifecycle. Involved in grooming, design, development, testing and deployment of the application. Work with globally dispersed team as a lead and implement quality guidelines, standards and procedures. Lead the development activities; responsibilities include - Work assignment, Design Decisions, Code reviews and Code deployment. Build the presentation layer using technologies like JSP, JSF, HTML, JQuery and CSS. Develop the core application using Java/J2EE and Spring technologies. Implement Java Message Service (JMS) to transport data between secure layer and enterprise layer and other various integrations. Apply proper transaction management on the business process. Build SOAP & REST WebServices to allow integrations with clients internally and externally. Design the database using SQL databases like Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server. Implement Unit testing and automation testing around the developed code. Implement logging to capture response times, runtime exceptions to allow performance monitoring and troubleshooting. Maintain the developed code via versioning tools like- SVN, GIT. Do continuous Integration of the code and automate the deployments to the Apache Tomcat servers. Actively work on performance tuning and optimization of different workflows in the application. Provide production support on the active application hosted in the production. This position will supervise 2 Associate Software Engineers.

Minimum education required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related.



Minimum experience required:2 years of experience in Applications Development, or related experience.



Alternate education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related field plus 5 years of experience in Applications Development, or related experience.


 



Skills required:Must have knowledge of Java/J2EE and related technologies- Spring, Struts, HTML, JSP, Servlets, CSS, JavaScript, XML (DOM, SAX), Web Services, JMS, SQL databases- Oracle and SQL Server, webservers and application servers- Apache/Tomcat, IBM Websphere, Unix, Linux, and Windows operating systems, Code management, builds and deployments tools- SVN, Maven, Jenkins, performance testing and monitoring, unit testing and automation testing, Agile Software development model, working as lead- setting up quality standards, processes, code reviews, code delivery management, and production support and debugging techniques.
