The Scaled Analytics team is an organization that serves as a Center of Expertise across the organization. The Global Analytic Methodology Center team within Scaled Analytics provides global advanced analytics driven support for critical business decisions and is also responsible for framing long term analytic strategies that grow analytics impact. The team specializes in the areas of Resource Allocation, Marketing Mix optimization and patient data analytics and is more generally responsible for advanced analytics driven consulting to novel business problems.
The Director, Advanced Analytics is an advanced analytics SME who takes ownership of specific analytics methods and processes and leads their execution and evolution.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the evolution of analytics methods and processes at the enterprise level across key functional areas including marketing mix, resource optimization and field force design by appropriately leveraging recent advancements in analytical methods and tools
Be the CA Subject Matter Expert on the application of advanced analytics to solve challenging business problems that typically require a multidisciplinary analytical approach
Lead the execution of complex enterprise level analytical projects and communicate recommendations to senior commercial leaders
In close partnership with other CA leaders, be a thought partner in the space of advanced analytics for CA and commercial teams across regions
Advise other CA teams on methodology for execution of customized, novel and high priority analytical projects
Partner closely with other functions to develop roadmap for analytic infrastructure and to move capabilities from prototype to production Leadership
Lead planning and prioritization of advanced analytics services and change management with cross functional stakeholders
Lead matrixed project teams to execute analytical projects leveraging advanced analytics Performance Measures
Client and Partner Feedback
Demonstrable increase in analytics impact - measured by increase in capacity, response time and business value driven by analytics
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Advanced degree in analytics related areas including management science, business decision analysis, statistics/data science, economics, etc
Experience:
10+ years of strong multi-disciplinary advanced analytics experience, with a preference for pharma and /or consulting
5+ years of experience in the space of marketing mix and resource optimization
Technical skills and competencies:
Strong strategic, conceptual and analytical thinker with the ability to understand analytics needs, leverage learnings from other industries and use sophisticated analytical tools and techniques to build effective solutions.
Expertise with the application of statistics and data science techniques such as machine learning to solve business problems
Expertise conducting analysis in open source analytical programming languages - R and/or Python
Expertise in interactive analytics and data visualization
Demonstrated insight and understanding of the pharma health care space (physician-level prescribing, institutional sales data, payer-prescriber-level data, formulary data, patient-level data, etc.), trends, and issues combined with experience in the areas of marketing mix optimization and Field Force Sizing
Proven ability to recognize interactions between insights, identify trends, proactively recognize future business needs and link them to current and future analytics.
Exceptional communicator: Can readily align interpersonal style with the individual needs; can understand, translate, and distill complex, technical concepts to a layperson
Highly collaborative: Shares responsibility and credit; develops self and others through teamwork; comfortable working in global environment and across time zones
Strong at project management: Clearly articulates scope and deliverables of projects; breaks complex initiatives into detailed component parts and sequences actions appropriately; develops action plans and monitors progress independently
