Role:

We are looking for a proven Lead Software QA Engineer with more than 7+ years of experience software QA planning and testing. Reporting to our CTO, this person will be responsible for leading, developing and executing all aspects of our software testing strategy. We are looking for strong software engineering candidates who have a background in programming combined with a passion for software quality and test automation.

Other responsibilities include:

• Work in tandem with our product development team to automate the testing of code changes.

• Recommend QA tools that drive efficiency such as Selenium, Cucumber, Telerik, Watir & Jenkins

• Partner with QA outsourcing firms (Rainforest) to create a scalable software testing strategy.

• Own your automated testing systems (aka Builds) by fixing and improving them.

• Lead a team of QA Analysts, helping to mentor and coach talent

• By any means necessary, make sure the product is high quality and does what it's meant to do.

• Manually test new changes as necessary.

Requirements:

·       Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent

·       7+ years of software QA testing experience, 2+ years leading a team

·       3+ years of experience in testing methodologies, experience with standard QA and development tools, and the ability to operate within short release cycles

·       3+ years of software QA automation experience working with the following technologies: PHP, CSS, HTML, Java, Java Script, Python, PERL, etc.

·       Reporting skills, proficient in creating status reports based on automation results

·       Product experience with wireless consumer electronics

·       Highly methodical test discipline, applicable to all product UI

·       Shows creativity and initiative to improve product coverage and effectivenes
