Software Development Engineer at National Funding (San Diego, CA)

National Funding is continuing to grow and has a great opportunity for a Software Development Engineer to join the team! Were seeking a software development professional to fill this role with National Funding, a stable, fast growing fintech company in UTC area. This is a perfect fit for innovative self-starters who enjoy autonomy and moving fast to solve challenging customer problems with technology.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Expanding the core capabilities of the National Funding lending platform
• Creating and extending our relational database technologies to accommodate platform changes
  Developing high quality C# web services, including development of REST API's which expose the ability data acquisition, data transformation, and customer business logic
• Creating and updating user interface for internal and external customers. In some instances, this  will be done in Salesforce VisualForce and/ or using HTML/CSS/Javascript/Angular
• Developing web services that interact with external interfaces to bring data into the companys  systems
• Working with IT operations teams to troubleshoot customer issues and resolution
• Follow dev best practices and standards. Always be learning

An Ideal Candidate Looks Like This:

• B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years experience on a professional development team
• Experience creating and consuming web services (e.g. REST, SOAP)
• Professional working knowledge of one of the major object-oriented languages: C#, C++, Java (C# preferred)
• Web Development: solid JavaScript, HTML, and CSS skills as well as experience with one or more  JavaScript Frameworks: Angular, Backbone, etc
• Experience using Force.com technologies, including Apex, VisualForce, Canvas, and Lightning components is a plus
• Passionate about technology and innovation and can show us some of your projects on GitHub
• Ease working in a small team working collaboratively using Agile/Scrum methodology
• Solid knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices
• Entrepreneurial and passionate about growing a company (not just taking a job).Willing to wear many hats and collaborate with non-technical finance types
