A senior Data Architect/Modeler job near the northern area of Houston, TX is available courtesy of Modis. In this role, the individual will be responsible for the data architecture, data quality management, master data management, data integration, data governance along with database development and design.  This is a long-term, stable role in a sought-after working environment that offers a very attractive compensation commensurate with level of individual expertise.

Sr Data Architect/Modeler job responsibilities include:

  • Detailed data design and modeling, data audit, define rules, establish master data solutions, define hierarchies and affiliations, distribute reference and master data, data quality, design data quality management procedures, establish data governance, work with the development teams to create data solutions for the customer.
  • Data architecture diagrams, logical and physical data models, data profiling reports and data audits, data taxonomy and mapping, data definitions, data or metadata management, data sourcing, data metrics, metadata, data lineage, ETL services, databases, and reports.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree.
  • Greater than five years professional data modeling experience of an advanced level (SQL and others) along with practical skills in BI and Data visualization tools.
  • Background of other programming languages and ability to write code (Python, XML, VBA or R).
  • Expertise in data manipulation tools such as: SSIS, SSMS, TOAD, Access, Excel, and Data Services .
  • Knowledge of SAP HANA is essential; APIs and EBX data management is helpful.
