Senior Software Engineer at Serenova (Salt Lake City, UT)

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain global, high-performance, fault-tolerant, scalable distributed software systems.
• Tackle some of the most challenging problems in cloud-based, distributed computing.
• Solve issues, determine root cause, effectively communicate to all partners, and implement solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Architects and other Engineers to define and implement the product roadmap.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of software development standard in the areas of tools, languages, and APIs.
• Write code that is high performing, maintainable, clear, and concise.

Qualifiers:

• At least 4 years in software development, working on business / enterprise software.
• Significant development experience in at least one modern programming and scripting language, preferably Java and Python.
• Solid CS foundation, with strong competencies in data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with software engineering standard: unit testing, code reviews, and automation.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Hands on. Passionate. Persistent. Creative. Collaborative.
• Clojure and Scala experience is a plus.
