Your role:
As part of an international, dynamic development team in the field of machine learning and AI your responsibility as a senior back-end developer covers the architecture, design, development and maintenance of octimines APIs and webservices for octimines SaaS products. This includes building and extending services, APIs, and systems to support latest machine learning as well as AI based analytics and retrieval of large-scale patent and other technical document collections.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and deliver highly scalable multi-tiered web services
- Build, maintain, and deploy new and existing functionality to our APIs
- Monitor and troubleshoot new and existing services
- Work closely with the team in an agile environment
- Exceptional documentation and testing of services
- Be humble and willing to learn
Your profile:
- Extensive experience with web-services and APIs (more than 3 years)
- Strong knowledge in Java, PHP, and Python
- Strong experience with parallelization concepts
- Comfortable with Laravel and server-side JavaScript technologies like Node.js
- Comfortable with SOA, REST/OAuth/JSON, XML
- Comfortable with version control (Git)
- Good knowledge about logging and testing
- Good experience with SQL, NoSQL and graph data bases
- Some experience and serious interest in machine learning and AI
