Exciting direct hire opportunity with a healthcare provider in the Galleria area. The database architect will be responsible for setting up, analyzing and maintaining the database structure. Develop efficient data design and optimized queries for all data requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and analyze applications and programs to determine database requirements
- Propose solutions through new system designs
- Ensure database structure, capabilities, backup, recovery and security specifications
- Install database systems and processes including documentation
- Maintain the database integrity, security and availability
- Set up and monitor disaster recovery plans and troubleshoot performance issues
- Provide support to developers and users
Requirements:
- Extensive experience with SQL, MySQL
- Strong database design and architecture experience
- Proven experience writing database queries
- Experience with data warehousing tools for reporting and analytics
- Experience working on Linux systems
Plusses
- RESTful architecture experience
- Programming with PHP, HTML, CSS is a desired
- Unit Module and Integration Testing
- Experience with build and continuous integration tools
- Cloud deployment and administration
