Capgemini is looking to hire a full-time Platform Engineer with AWS experience.


AWS Cloud Security Engineer:

The Cloud Security Engineer will be hands-on, directly interacting with the engineering and application development teams and leadership to drive alignment on security requirements, influence decision makers, build relationships, and communicate strategy and architecture to the clients leadership teams

Roles and Responsibilities:  

  • Design and develop security architectures and best practices for cloud and hybrid cloud systems in alignment with the Global Information Security framework.

  • Leads initiatives designed to share knowledge across technology teams. Identifies, recommends, coordinates, deliver timely knowledge to development teams regarding technologies, processes or tools.

  • Collaborate with software teams to design and implement cloud-native architectures that enable an acceptable degree of risk to the Enterprise and include appropriate security controls.

  • Development and delivery of reference architectures, policies, and standards that will be used across our client to enable robust cloud security solutions.

  • Articulation of platform-level designs to incrementally build cloud security roadmaps and capabilities over time.

  • Develop, document, and maintain best practices and standards around securing and leveraging cloud services. Provide usable guidelines and procedures that can be adopted by multiple teams.

  • Balance and optimize security solution architectures needed to mitigate security risks with business unit requirements, regulatory requirements, timelines, and cost.

  • Ability to explain constraints, limitations, and best practices to leverage cloud PaaS offerings.

  • Communicate complex technical choices and tradeoffs in easy to understand, business-friendly language.

  • Research current architecture and requirements of clients to assess legacy systems for cloud and security readiness

  • Presents business updates, recommendations, strategic opportunities and assessments to leadership and senior management as needed

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of Engineering, Architecting, positioning and delivering cloud/internet facing applications.
  • Possess significant breadth across other disciplines (e.g., enterprise security architecture, compute services, storage, large-scale networking, virtualization, data center, integration architecture (API), orchestration technologies, systems resiliency, service support, application development lifecycle management (DevOps), and service delivery).

  • Experience with the assessment, implementation, management and documentation of a broad set of information security technologies and processes (e.g., app security, data protection, access management, network security) within a cloud environment
  • Experience designing cloud security solutions, including creating artifacts, models, and strategy presentations
  • Experience working in a risk-based environment including mitigation, planning and implementation in AWS
  • Experience working with cloud security management / governance tools, Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASB), cloud services and 3rd party hosted services, and server virtualization products and technologies
  •  Excellent communication and influencing skills including the ability to simplify key messages, present compelling stories and promote technical and personal credibility with internal and external executives, and both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience performing security design reviews to asses security implications for introduction of new or differing technologies within the environment
  • Keen understanding of national and international laws, regulations, policies and ethics related to Insurance industry cybersecurity and multi geography cloud implementations (GDPR etc,,)
  • Excellent command of Cybersecurity organization practices, operations risk management processes, principles, architectural requirements, engineering threats and vulnerabilities, including incident response methodologies
  • IT security (e.g., CISSP, CISM) and/or Cloud Security-related certifications is an added plus
  • AWS Security Certification is highly desired.
