Location


This role is a remote position as our clients are in multiple states from the East Coast to the West Coast.


Position Description


The Business Systems Analyst is an agent of change. He/she will be responsible for being the bridge between our clients’ end users and the development teams. Having great verbal and written communication skills and being a problem solver are must-have qualities for this role. We work across many groups of stakeholders in multiple industries, but primarily within the financial sector.


The Business Systems Analyst should continuously grow their knowledge in new technologies to respond to our client’s needs in a rapidly changing business environment. Detailed knowledge of enterprise and financial systems coupled with deep technical skills are necessary to be successful in this role.


 Primary Responsibilities



  • Effectively identify, translate and communicate end user requirements to software and application developers.

  • Identify business needs utilizing real data, end user input, understanding of business processes and client management needs to compile analysis reports that are used by system architects and software engineers to develop world class solutions.

  • Implement a comprehensive management plan for each project and hold regular stakeholder meetings to keep all interested parties updated in project progress.

  • Determine and document user requirements for business processes and abide by those requirements for future projects.

  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.

  • Design new programs by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing functional specifications.

  • Improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications.

  • Recommend end user controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.

  • Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; assist in forming project team; establishing project budget.

  • Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.

  • Maintain system protocols by writing and updating procedures.

  • Establish and maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.

  • Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


 Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, finance or a technical field;

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience;

  • Practical application ability with Microsoft Office and Visio;

  • Detailed analytical abilities;

  • Documented experience with methodology and process related to Business Analysis and SDLC;

  • Strong experience in user testing and project management;

  • Prior experience with and exposure to

  • Software Design,

  • Software Documentation,

  • Software Development Processes,

  • Software Requirements,

  • Data analysis.
