Reporting to the VC-CFO, Information Technology Services (ITS) delivers Enterprise information technology services to the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) under the leadership of the campus Chief Information Officer (CIO).

Business Technology Services, a division of IT Services, provides enterprise solutions and application development for the UC San Diego community. Our combined technical resources, including web, mainframe and infrastructure are the foundation of the applications we develop.
The Senior QA Engineer will be responsible for quality control and quality assurance on the new campus enterprise project, implementing Oracle Financials and Oracle PeopleSoft. The engineer will be engaged with planning, designing, implementing and executing test plans, along with building both manual and automated test cases. The candidate will be responsible for tracking, reporting and metrics; and will work closely with the PM and development teams.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Advanced knowledge of software functions and analysis.
• Advanced skills associated with analysis of software design, modification and implementation.
• Advanced understanding of the use of automated testing tools, including skill to perform automated QA procedures.
• Understands compliance requirements for applicable industry or agency standards. Advanced knowledge of the ISO standards and the CMMI (Compatibility Maturity Model Integration) model.
• Interpersonal skills in order to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Ability to elicit and communicate technical and non-technical information in a clear and concise manner.
