What’s The Job?


Calendly is looking for a Senior QA Manager to join our rapidly growing quality team. At Calendly, we strive to think it, build it, ship it - deliver great features to our customers as fast while ensuring the highest quality user experience.


Calendly’s QA team collaborates closely with Product and Engineering to ensure we deliver robust, working software with every release. QA Analysts catch bugs and test new functionality with an eye toward user experience. We’re looking for a leader with excellent analytical skills to join the team as Senior QA Manager.


As a Senior QA Manager reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will help cultivate a quality mindset throughout the company and grow the QA team technically and professionally. You are an excellent communicator, mentor, diplomatic manager. You are also process-oriented, and have your finger on the pulse of the latest testing tools and methods. You will have a significant impact on the overall quality of the Calendly product and the testing process that your QA team will adopt.


Responsibilities:



  • Support the growth of your direct reports and improve their skills in software testing

  • Implement a disciplined test case management process to ensure thorough and structured coverage of the application and champion it across the product team

  • Balance testing workload between the QA Analysts

  • Spearhead hiring, interviewing, and onboarding of new QA analysts

  • Cultivate an open and collaborative cross-team and cross-department environment

  • Help position QA’s involvement early in the product planning process


Requirements:



  • Multiple years of experience working as a full-time software tester for a SaaS application

  • Previous experience managing or leading internal QA teams in an agile-based environment

  • Experience with building highly-effective QA teams

  • Thorough understanding of continuous integration and delivery and its implications for testing

  • Record of measuring and rallying team to drive key quality metrics

  • Experience with successfully integrating an effective test case management system

  • Experience with utilizing tools (such as JIRA) to effectively standardize bug reporting and story writing

  • Experience with teams using modern development tools and their use in quality control (code reviews, pull requests)


Bonus If You Have Experience With:



  • Testing high traffic SaaS applications

  • Continuous integration and delivery

  • Browser-based test automation tools and processes

  • Mobile-based test automation tools and processes
