- Build a compelling UI that delights users
- Participate in making choices on technology, design and development standards
Qualifications & Skills
Essential
- Degree in software engineering, computer science or similar qualification
- 3+ years of experience with building functionality-rich, highly interactive web applications as part of a professional software development team
- Solid knowledge of Javascript language and technology stack, e.g. Angular, node.js, ReactJS
- Experience with RESTful APIs and WebServices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Must be a team player
- Follows good coding practices (TDD, CleanCode)
Desirable
- Experience working in scientific or biomedical environments
- Experience with image processing and computer graphics
- Demonstrable experience in developing modern, web oriented applications and supporting backend infrastructure (based on Java or node.js)
- Previous experience with Typescript, Webpack, ES6, LESS, SASS, WebGL, Canvas2D, OpenLayers 3, or SVG
- Experience with Python or C++
- Good knowledge of database technologies (e.g. SQL, noSQL, big data technologies)
- Knowledge about Cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Experience with containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
