ABOUT THE ROLE

Working within a small team of experienced developers, interns/analysts take on significant responsibility and ownership for projects very quickly after joining—developing front office software applications for asset management activities. Collaborating with other technologists and investment professionals you will spend your time continuously improving existing software and creating new software tools that support our business. This is an exciting opportunity to build your skill set in technology within finance using the latest technologies, learning from experienced professionals and committing code to systems that are central to the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design, develop and deploy solutions for the multiple business units including strategy/research, risk/investment and operations teams
- Automate program and monitor various software components to ensure the availability of information to for real-time financial analysis
- Operate with a TDD mentality when producing quality code that is clean and scalable
- Review and analyze existing applications code and code in development to ensure performance efficiency
- Provide post implementation support to new and existing applications
- Continuously expand industry and technical knowledge
- Provide occasional off-hours support issues

QUALIFICATIONS
==============
- Internship experience in application development and support within financial services
- Experience with Python AND either: C#, Java or C++
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- MS Excel VBA
- Experience with Git source control
- Strong Object Oriented Programming (OOP) knowledge
- Proactive communicator with both written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to manage multiple time sensitive assignments, meet deadlines and achieve assigned targets
