As a member of Gliffy’s DevOps Team, you’ll work with a small team of highly talented architects and engineers dedicated to Gliffy online. As an automation master, you will work on new stack development and ensure that Gliffy’s products work seamlessly for millions of users.
What you’ll do to get us there:
We're looking for both the Dev and the Ops in DevOps. You'll help maintain and deploy microservices in AWS as well as streamlining our entire software pipeline and infrastructure in the cloud. You'll be looking to continually improve processes, performance, and reliability so that we can do everything repeatedly and easily at the push of a button!
Responsibilities:
- Manage our production and pre-production environments
- Manage our Infrastructure environments (AWS)
- Manage our monitoring environments
- Manage our Linux environments (Ubuntu / CentOS)
- Manage our Application Tier (Node.js / Play Framework)
- Manage our Database Tier (MySQL / Postgres environments)
- Create tools/scripts to help in build and deployment
- Strong Python, Ruby, and Bash scripting
- Terraform and Consul
- Nginx, Docker, Travis/Jenkins
- Manage site reliability, performance, scaling, and disaster planning
What you're like:
- 5+ years of production experience
- Expertise writing in a common scripting language
- Experience with AWS or other cloud services
- Experience orchestrating Docker containers
- Dedicated, likable, fun-loving, and collaborative
- Experience with Java or any JVM language is a big plus
- US Citizenship or work authorization
- Local Candidates Only (San Francisco bay area)
