We are looking for someone to build the QA practice at RewardOps from the ground up. As our first dedicated QA developer / engineer, you will be responsible for developing best practices around the quality and delivery of our product by fleshing out our test suite, automating our testing systems and catching bugs before they hit our production environment. You will also guide our development and product teams to use methodologies and procedures in testing. In this role, you will:
- Improve our existing processes, create new ones and help ensure that high quality features and code are consistently delivered
- Build out our test suite, ensuring that our web applications and APIs thoroughly covered
- Create, update and execute automated test plans
- Work with our DevOps team to implement automated testing systems and ensure they are hooked into our continuous integration and delivery systems
- Work with our DevOps team to implement performance testing of our APIs
- Work closely with Product and Development teams to capture requirements and feed them into the test suite
- Investigate and reproduce client related issues and report findings back to Customer Service
- Continuously refine and review testing systems
Skills & Requirements
You must have:
- 2-3 years of experience as a QA Developer or Test Engineer
- Experience with web application testing, including HTTP tests, front-end web component testing, browser automation testing
- Experience with tools such as Postman, Selenium, Ghost Inspector, JMeter, etc.
- Experience writing automation code using Ruby/Java/Python/Perl/Javascript etc
- Comfortable with Git and hooking tests into our various CI/CD workflows
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
It would be great if you have:
- Worked at a SaaS startup in the past
- Comfortable with databases and knowledge of SQL
- Foosball skills and/or have strong opinions around food and the best coffee in town
