We are looking for a Software Engineer in our San Diego, CA office.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Participate in software development from requirements throughout deployment
- Participate in software code reviews to ensure the creation of high quality, compact code
- Use Test Driven Development, focusing on functionality and documentation
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
- Provide mentorship to junior engineering staff
EXPERIENCE & Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science (or a similar academic discipline)
- At least 5 years’ work experience with significant design responsibility
- Expertise in Objective-C/Swift and developing native MacOS/iOS applications
- Mastery of Xcode and Interface Builder
- Experience with XML, JSON and REST-based APIs
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MS SQL Server, MongoDB, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of MVC, OOP, memory management and threading
- Experience with image processing techniques and algorithms
- Experience with Git/GitHub and managing code on multiple branches
- Experience with C#, .NET stack and Xamarin is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective presentation skills
- Competent with MS Windows, MacOS and Linux operating systems and tools
- Ability to apply engineering principles and techniques to solve a variety of problems
- Ability to prepare proposals and presentations and assist with sales meetings as necessary
- Demonstrate ability to compellingly present technical information to groups
- Ability to assist in identifying and developing new client relationships and participate in sales meetings
