NTT Security is seeking a Software DevOps Engineer who is creative, highly technical and has a passion for learning. Software DevOps Engineer will be a part of a development team responsible for Globally Managed Security Service Platform.
The ideal candidate will join a talented and fast paced team which prides itself in continuous excellence. Team constantly improves by leveraging right technologies and engineering practices. Continuously calibrates both technology and engineering practices against industry best standards. Ideal candidate must have experience in Cloud environment and working knowledge of containers. This candidate must have a clear understanding of DevOps and SRE paradigm, programming languages, security domains, technical support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist in designing, building and operating Cloud infrastructure to enable reliable and rapid deployment of microservices with effective monitoring and resilient operations
- Work with development teams to make sure the applications are production ready, scalable and reliable from the grounds up
- Identify and drive opportunities to improve automation for code deployment, management, monitoring and visibility of application services
- Develop tools and framework to automate operational tasks, deployment of machines, services, applications
- Write automation code for provisioning and operating infrastructure at massive scale
- Participate in migrating existing complex on-premise applications to the Cloud platform
- Participate in integrating with AWS services for building container-based systems
- Follow software and security development best practices
- Continuously improve DevOps/SRE functions
- Collaborate with TechOps, SRE and/or remote teams
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed and other typical DevOps tasks
MINIMUM QUALFICATIONS
- Bachelor of science in Computer Science or related discipline
- 2+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or infrastructure engineering
- AWS or any cloud computing and its related services
- Proficiency with a programming language like Java, Python, Go and shell scripting
- Proven skills with any of the following technologies: Kubernetes, Kafka, Dockers and Splunk
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Unix/Linux OS/ Docker
- Comfortable with cloud services like EC2, Lambda, S3 VPC, Security Group, cloudformation templates
- Monitor the availability or the CI/CD environments
- Strong fundamentals in HTTP including HTTP headers and System API services
- Familiarity with application/microservices security and Web App Firewall
- Passion for automation and monitoring instrumentation in the code
- Expertise in configuration management with a framework such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet or Terraform
- Understanding of automation: Docker, Salt, Puppet, Chef for building automated deployment processes
- Self-disciplined, self-managed, self-motivated and strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
- Experience with agile software development principles and practices, particularly Scrum and Kanban
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and productively with minimal supervision
- Ability to thrive under pressure, handle multiple competing priorities and function and deliver effectively in a fast-paced environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certified AWS Architect.
- Experience working with security systems such as IDS applications, firewalls, SIEM products
