Pace Solutions is actively seeking a Senior Software Engineer experienced in developing consumer-facing web and mobile software products for a client of ours in Dallas, TX. The person in this position will be solving business problems through developing high-quality web applications that are scalable, reusable, and maintainable. The ideal candidate is comfortable working full stack and has experience building cross-platform applications with Electron.io.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement software applications for new software development projects
- Assist in the definition of a new front-end platform for the organization
- Work effectively with other scrum team members to ensure the timely delivery of quality products into production
- Apply effective use of design patterns and best practices
- Mentor less experienced team members
- Re-factor current application design and/or implementation to support application enhancement requests
- Contribute and adhere to development standards and best practices in software development
- Conduct design and code reviews
- Develop prototypes or demos for any strategic business initiatives
- Resolve application performance, security and scalability issues by identifying the bottle-necks, memory leaks and key areas for improvement
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of strong core Java experience
- Experience with Electron.io
- 3+ years of experience with JRuby, Spring/Spring Boot
- 3 years of experience with front-end technologies - React, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript
- Experience with JavaScript testing frameworks
- Experience with OOD
- 4+ years working with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of application and system development methodologies CFT, Lambda, and RDS would be helpful
- JIRA, Bamboo, and Bitbucket (Git) are strongly desired.
- Experience working with data visualization/business intelligence tools is a huge plus!
