Manager, Software DevelopmentT-Mobile moves fast, innovates rapidly, and maintains laser focus on delivering the best customer experiences in any industry. As a key member of the cross-functional Digital Product & Technology team, the Manager, Software Development will build, and maintain functionality, reduce product costs and increase product efficiencies. The Manager, Software Development is responsible for building and leading the high-performing SecureID technology team consisting of software development, test and dev-ops skills.As a Manager of the SecureID domain, he/she will provide leadership oversight of development resources for direct to customer secure login capabilities. SecureID vision is to enable customers anywhere on any device:* ONE consistent customer experience across all digital solutions* Single integration touch-point for partners/integration teams; self-service onboarding* Reduce surface area of attack that allows the team to focus energies on hardening central gatewayThe position requires interaction with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders at various levels of the organization and being a technology evangelist in establishing T-Mobile as a leading technology company.Success will be measured through the team's ability to design and deliver world-class capabilities to our customers leading to increased product adoption and satisfied customers.

Responsibilities:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:* Responsible for the development and delivery of multiple technology platforms.* Demonstrate cross-functional leadership by working collaboratively with business leadership, Enterprise IT, and key internal/external partners to align all parties and deliver product and technology vision.* Execute the design, development, and operations of systems that are highly performant and maintain high availability.* Communicates effectively with IT management, business partners, and peers. Takes a 'no surprises' approach to communication within technology and with the business.* Drive innovation, improvement, and adoption of industry-leading practices including open source, CI/CT/CD, cloud, microservices/container architecture* Acts independently to determine methods and procedures as they relate to development and operations.* Participates in the process to prioritize and scope future projects and initiatives.* Works with business and IT leadership to prioritize tactical issues to address immediate business needs while maintaining strategic direction.* Plans staffing needs and allocations to support projects, initiatives, and support.* Ensures service levels are understood and support them being met.* Displays a strong work ethic and sense of urgency. Demonstrates a strong initiative to make things happen.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:* Familiarity with DevOps (e.g. Continuous Integration, Continuous testing and Continuous delivery, Continuous Improvements) concept.* Proven track record of releasing highly recognized and industry acknowledged digital products into the market.* Strong AWS or cloud services.* Knowledge of Web Services and REST architecture building Web API using XML/JSON; Experience API development tools like Apigee is plus* Good interpersonal skills with ability to easily resolve conflicting situation.* 8+ years of experience developing highly scalable and highly available digital products capable of serving the T-Mobile subscriber base.* 3+ years of lead or direct management experience.* DevOps and Agile methodologies.* Experience with running IT project in a mid to large size company, preferably in wireless.* Experience with managing a distributed delivery team that may contain an offshore component.* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.* Ability to listen and respond objectively in a group of diverse audiences.* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
