Lead Software Engineer at 3Ci (Atlanta, GA)

3Ci is seeking a Software Development Lead for a client in the digital media space. This position will be responsible for building and supporting the Content Management System (CMS) and its underlying applications and services that are used by this client and its affiliates is looking for a strong full stack JavaScript developer who understands how to operate at scale while leveraging modern web-based technologies such as Node.js, React, MEAN/MERN stack, caching, cloud, and DevOps.

As a full stack JavaScript developer, you will be responsible for:

• Building highly scalable and highly available (or web-scale) RESTful apps used for search and retrieval of content from large datasets.

• Providing consistency across work breakdown and estimation so that the team can maintain a sustainable pace of development while also allowing for good forecasting.

• As the team lead, mentoring a sharp and motivated team of developers to help raise the bar for team who is already excellent.

• Lending guidance towards software development best practices, such as fully automated testing, CI/CD pipeline, monitoring, and DevOps.

Preferred Skills/experiences Include

• 6+ years Web Development experience.

• 2-4 years of experience with React; Redux experience is a plus

• 2-4 years of experience with NodeJS

• 2-4 years of experience with MongoDB or other non-relational databases

• HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript (including popular frameworks), NoSQL.

• RESTful architectures

• Agile/DevOps

• Scaling, caching, and microservices (understanding of the web and web browsers, their capabilities and limitations.)

• CI/CD, build pipelines (Jenkins, Bamboo, CircleCI, etc)

• Cloud based services, such as AWS, GCP, etc...

• A strong base on the fundamentals with the ability to pick up and learn any stack

• Docker, Docker-compose, Kubernetes

• Self-starter, knows how to work around dead ends, can pick something up on the fly

• Always open for a discussion/debate and seeking consensus

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, familiarity with agile development methodologies

• You dont know everything about software development, but you want to learn as much as possible
