SUMMARY

Responsible for providing deskside computer hardware and software support services to Firm attorneys and staff.  These services are largely analytical and require an individual with excellent trouble shooting skills and an ability to think and react independently and creatively.  This role will require someone to have excellent customer service skills and enjoy interaction with clients at the Desk side.

Technical Environment Hardware:

Desktop and Laptops: Dell / HP

Printers and Scanners: Dell/HP

MS Office Suite 2007

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS:  (( KEY SKILLS ))

Must be extremely well versed in the usage and troubleshooting of the Microsoft Windows operating system platform.

Must have advanced skills in the usage and troubleshooting of Microsoft Office products, most importantly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Must have printer and computer hardware repair skills. Industry certifications proving proficiency in these areas highly favored.

MS OFFICE 2007 would be preferred as our client has just transitioned to the new version

Must be able to set up new IDs and Passwords on Loaner LapTops and CPUs as needed

Experience with legal-specific software and practices highly favored.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:  None required, but Microsoft and CompTia certifications highly favored.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsible for coordinating support services and technology solutions for their assigned office.

Responsible for monitoring a ticket queue and providing timely response to ticketed support calls escalated by the Help Desk.

Responsible for communicating technology issues and outages to attorneys and staff.

Responsible for imaging desktops and laptops for new hires Responsible for coordinating phone setup and placement.

Responsible for printer support and maintenance, which also requires the printers to be disassembled and repaired.

Responsible for installing Firm approved software.

Responsible for cleaning and organizing server rooms and wiring closets.  Also required to troubleshoot servers and install new systems in coordination with the engineering team.

Responsible for keeping track of inventory of all computer equipment.

Responsible for preparing computers to be returned to the Firms leasing vendor.

Responsible for coordinating video conference troubleshooting.

Responsible for completing all special projects assigned by the Deskside Support Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  Certifications in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Engineering are not required, but are certainly preferred.
