As the GBS Cloud Solution Architect you will use your client management skills to navigate client hierarchies and understand competing agendas. The CSA must be adept at understanding business functions, constructing solution architecture around Microservices and APIs, and decomposemonolith applications into meaningful Cloud environments.

With a solid background as an Architect your experience in developing and delivering complex Microservices solutions across multiple technologies and cloud platforms, including Red Hat, AWS, IBM Cloud and Azure are essential.

Responsibilities

• You will be the integrator between the client and IBM teams
• Demonstrate thought leadership in cloud computing and become a trusted advisor to decision makers throughout an engagement
• Analyze and assess existing client application portfolios and shape, sell and deliver appropriate digital modernization pattern-based solutions including the creation of client modernization roadmaps.
• Work with clients to define scope of project and resolve requirements
• Define software, hardware and other requirements
• Assist with the design, development, and testing of modernizing applications
• Consult with clients on how to best design Cloud High Performance and High Throughput Computing in the Google Cloud Platform

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• At least 3 years of experience with Azure cloud experience

• At least 5 years extensive experience as a technical specialist in Customer-facing roles

• At least 3 years of experience with Design Thinking, Agile and Extreme Programming

• At least 5 years strong Analytical and Problem Solving Skills

• At least 5 years of experience in building decoupled architecture framework for cloud native applications

• At least 3 years of experience in designing highly performant and scalable cloud architectures

• At least 3 years knowledge of several modern programming languages and open source frameworks

• At least 7+ years exceptional communication and presentation skills with demonstrated executive engagement and proven ability to present strategic information to drive change across a broad range of audiences

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Knowledge of SOAP API and/or REST API implementations

• Experience with at client side programming language such as .NET, JAVA, PHP, Ruby, Visual Basic, Python, Node JS, Java Script, Angular 2

• Experience as a consultant
