Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality software consistently and efficiently
- Contribute to the design by influencing choices on technology, design and development standards in the best interest of the company
- Analyze, design, develop, extend and execute manual, semi-automated and automated test cases for image and data analysis solutions, e.g. based on deep learning
- Resolve issues according to the problem resolution process including root cause analysis
- Develop and monitor quality metrics for software components, create and implement ideas for improvement of quality standards
- Keep effective records of quality assurance plans per Definiens quality management system in line with target product requirements, e.g. for medical device and/or pharma standards (e.g. 21 CFR 820, GAMP5)
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Bioinformatics or a similar qualification
- Minimum 3 years work experience in software quality assurance or software development
- Good software development skills in at least one scripting language, preferably Python is a must
- Good knowledge about test automation is a must
- Good knowledge in test management & documentation is a must
- Good knowledge about test software and tools is expected
- Experience with continuous integration systems is an advantage
- ISTQB certification or similar qualification is an advantage
- GUI test automation knowledge is an advantage
- Experience in agile development is an advantage
- Knowledge in biomedical image analysis and/or data mining is an advantage
- Knowledge about statistics is an advantage
- Excellent analytical and methodological skills are mandatory
- Good organizational and planning skills are mandatory
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are expected
- Excellent capability to handle multiple assignments in a timely manner and to meet assigned deadlines are expected
- The capability to work independently as well as in interdisciplinary and multi-cultural teams to achieve joint targets is expected
