Role Objectives & Purpose

The Engineer (DevOps) is responsible for building and shape product excellence by ensuring applications are designed to be built and deployed continuously to maximize Redflex and customer quality satisfaction.

Accountabilities

• Understanding, implementing, and updating the Continuous Delivery Strategy
• Building quality in, delivering value to customers, and automating manual steps to avoid any manual intervention
• Collaborate with team to suggest application design to promote Continuous Delivery.
• Ensuring proper use of DevOps tools
• Scripting environment creation and promote Infrastructure as Code
• Working with the team to continuously improve
• Coaching other team members in DevOps
• Setup tools (eg. CloudWatch, Splunk, New Relic) to measure key metrics and alert stakeholders
• Ensuring the appropriate DevOps tasks are scheduled during release and sprint planning
• Actively collaborate with team to clarify requirements, especially in terms of design, ops requirements
• Participating proactively in daily stand-up meetings, story grooming sessions, team retrospectives, suggesting and implementing improvements
